Large deposits of both industrial minerals have been defined by mapping, trenching, drilling and bulk sampling. The deposits are comprised of extensive deposits of volcanic tephra and tuff meeting the requirements for High Quality Natural Pozzolan (HQNP) in the Tuff Zone and in the eastern part of the Main Zone, along with deposits of perlite in the eastern and western areas of the Main Zone which also have pozzolanic properties.

The Plan of Operations envisages a 27-year mine life where both perlite and natural pozzolan are mined from the Main Zone in years 1-15 with pozzolan continuing to be mined in the Tuff Zone in years 16-27. It also allows for the following production options:

The mobile plant for the first of these perlite production options is available from the quarry industry and can be bought, rented or leased and, subject to availability, production could start quickly at a relatively low capital cost. The Company has been working with equipment suppliers to cost and source the required process plant and has received cost proposals for the rental of the various plant items in line with the Companys objective to develop the project at minimal capital cost.

The Plan of Operations also includes programmes of drilling and bulk sampling to run concurrently with mining. These exploration programmes will test for extensions of perlite and natural pozzolan which are open ended and project beyond the current pit limits. This includes evaluation of the extensive Northeast Zone which so far has been tested by a single drill hole which intersected 40m of high quality natural pozzolan from surface. Previous exploration suggests that the Northeast Zone target extends over an area at least as large as the Main Zone and is an exciting target for further evaluation.

Following finalisation of the Projects Environmental Assessment (EA) the lead regulator, the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM), has handed down a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Companys Mine Plan of Operations and accordingly determined that an Environmental Impact Statement is not required per Section 102(2) (c) of the National Environmental Policy Act. The FONSI recognizes the positive contributions that the use of natural pozzolan can make to a reduction in CO2 emissions in the US as a replacement in the cement industry for the fly ash from coal-fired power stations.

The BLM has also issued its Decision Record approving and authorising the Companys Mine Plan of Operations. This now allows the Company to develop the CS Mine according to that plan and in compliance with the various environmental mitigation measures and best practice measures proposed by the Company in its various submissions to the BLM.

The BLM Decision authorises the extraction of perlite and natural pozzolan under the regulations applicable to locatable minerals governed by the 1872 Mining Act. This means that no Federal Royalties are payable on production of either perlite or pozzolan.

In addition to the Mine Plan of Operations, the BLM has approved the Companys Plan of Development for long-term and short-term rights of way to enable it to develop the groundwater well proposed for use in connection with the project. The Company has already obtained water rights and had granted a temporary water extraction permit by the Nevada Division of Water Resource pending the grant of the Companys longer-term permit application.

In conjunction with the BLM Decision Record, the Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation (BMRR), a bureau of the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection, has granted the Company its Nevada Reclamation Permit.

Whilst the BLM EA included a detailed consideration for air quality issues, emissions from process plants are regulated by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection Bureau of Pollution Control. A Class II air quality control permit has been issued for the Phase I mobile crushing and screening plant.It is not expected that drilling and blasting will be required for rock extraction but, should this prove necessary, a blasting licence may be required. This permit is a short lead time item and an explosives storage facility is included in the BLM approved Plan of Operations and in the Air Quality Permit Application.

The group says its sales and process know-how will now be bundled at a single Dsseldorf location. Hazemag & EPR employs 400 people in serving industries including cement in 40 countries with plants and equipment for raw materials processing.

France: Hazemag has completed the installation of Primary Sizer HCS 1020 at Lhoist Groups Dugny lime plant. The project was a retrofit replacing a jaw crusher. The new unit is expected to increase production by 20% and to improve grain shape.

Germany: Heribert Breuer has retired as the managing director of Allmineral. Breuer was one of the founders of the company in 1988 and he worked for it since then helping to integrate the company into Hazemag. He will be succeeded by Marco Steinberg.

Steinberg previously worked as the Vice President Global Sales & Marketing for MBE Coal & Minerals Technology, which was previously known as KHD Humboldt Wedag Coal & Minerals. His focus in the new position will be to expand the product portfolio of the subsidiary and build on technological advances.

Egypt: The government of Egypt has ordered crushers and apron feeders from Hazemag for its El Arish cement plant. The agreement includes six HAF 22116 apron feeders with spillage conveyor and six HPI 2025 primary impact crushers for each 1200t/hour of limestone with a feed size of up to 1500mm. This plant crushes the limestone to D95 < 75mm.

In addition Hazemag will supply six HAF 1480 apron feeders with spillage conveyor and six HRC 0816 double roll crushers each for crushing 400t/hour of clay with a feed size of up to 500mm to D95 < 75mm, as well as three HGI 1420 gypsum impact crusher for crushing 350t/hour of gypsum with a feed size of up to 800 mm to D90 < 40mm.

The plant will process up to 2500t/hour of limestone with a feed size of up to 2000mm. The material is discharged by means of a Hazemag apron feeder HAF 25160 from a 400t feed hopper. The fines in the feed material are screened at 100mm on a Hazemag roller screen HRS 2638.

The HAZEMAG primary impact crusher HPI 2230 crushes the material down to D99 < 125mm. The impact crusher is fitted with hydraulically adjustable impact aprons and grinding path that both retract in a controlled manner under excessive load. The system of the retractable grinding path is patented. The impact crusher HPI 2230 is also fitted with the automatic gap width control HAZtronic.

Indonesia: Hazemag & EPR has won a contract to supply a large crushing plant for a Sinoma International Engineering cement plant project on behalf of PT Cemindo Gemilang. The completed cement plant will have a production capacity of 10,000t/day and will be situated in Bayah, Java. Delivery of the plant is scheduled for the end of 2014.

The crushing plant to be supplied consists of a large apron feeder and a wobbler feeder for pre-screening. The impact crusher, with a rotor diameter of 2.5m and a rotor width of 3.0m, is the largest impact crusher that Hazemag produces. The crushing plant also includes a smaller apron feeder to allow two different raw materials to be processed at the same time. The crusher is equipped with a GSK-rotor and a hydraulic impact apron support system HAZtronic. The total plant capacity is 2500t/hr.

Brazil: Germany's Hazemag & EPR GmbH has received an order from the Brennand Cimentos Group in Brazil for the delivery of two crushing plants for its new cement works in the federal state of Paraiba, Brazil. The order comprises one limestone crusher and one clay crusher.

The limestone crushing plant is designed for a throughput rate of 1500t/hr for the production of a final product of 95% <90mm. A second product of 95% <50mm may also be produced at a lower throughput rate. HAZtronic, a hydraulic input apron control, can switch between the two production modes. The clay crushing plant is designed for a throughput of 300t/hr for the production of a finished product of 0 - 90mm.

The plant consists of the following components: Hazemag apron feeder, Hazemag roller screen VARIOwobbler with adjustable gaps, Hazemag primary impact crusher fitted with the hydraulic impact apron control, Haztronic discharge belt conveyor.

China: A subsidiary of National Materials Group (Sinoma) is buying a 59.1% stake in German mining equipment firm Hazemag & EPR for US$137m. The Chinese state-owned cement equipment manufacturer and cement producer made the announcement in a statement filed to the Hong Kong stock exchange.

"It will improve the technique, strengthen the management and establish the channels for the purpose of rapid expansion of Sinoma International to the field of mining equipment and generate more return for the group when Hazemag makes more profit in the future," said Sinoma chairman Liu Zhijiang in the statement.

Since mid-March 2021, the company said, it has received over $250,000 in purchase orders for rock powders from its existing customers. The firm said ithas also received requests for quotes from multiple new potential customers.
